If someone were to walk a mile in your shoes, what is something they'd quickly learn?

So, I am starting a fun project of writing prompts.  This particular question in the title came from 300 More Writing Prompts which I got on bargain at Barnes and Noble some time ago.  Something to get me writing and thinking because I do love to do both most nights when I can't sleep anyway.

If someone were to walk a mile in your shoes, what is something they'd quickly learn?

"Oh, what they would learn indeed.  I either like something or I do not which is more or less from the anxiety and depression I have.  I am quick to make up my mind about it and will mull it over when I feel more comfortable, but if it's too much I decide on it now and think more in detail later.  I do believe in grey territory but only on very select topics.

My mind is full of music.  I love music of all languages and I have a strong emotional attachment to some where I will just either burst out in dance or tears.  I am tough but I was not born that way.  I faced a lot of trauma to get to where I am today.  So when I hear people say 'I want to be like you' it breaks my heart because to get here was so much pain that got me to where I am today.  I was so good at faking a smile that no one questioned it when I said 'I'm fine'.

Writing is my passion and the ideas that run through my mind make me so happy, sad, angry, moved, and energetic that it's hard to pin it all down.  I love to write about dark topics, as I kind of threw out my sappy tolerance years ago.

Going back to my happy place, I do love my mother.  Oh my gosh, I love her to pieces.  While my husband is my glue, she is my super glue! Wonder Woman at her finest.  She is so strong as she went through fire and brimstone in her life to still come out the other side with a beautiful heart and soul.

Nature is my worldly escape while writing is my mental escape.  I love the views of mountains, oceans, forests, and rivers.  My mind just soaks it in and it's one of the few times my mind shuts up. Before I met my husband it was my goal to buy a tiny house or camper and travel to different places and just write about my experiences.  However, I love my husband quite a bit and that idea is worth leaving behind for now at this point.  I'll get to do it, it's just a little bit grey as to when now."

While this was a small glimpse into what someone can figure out about me pretty quickly, this is something that was pretty fun!  I'll definitely be doing this again soon.

Gratefully Yours,
